We’re excited to announce that Alina Tsurkalenko has joined the Promus Ventures Team.

Alina comes to us from Deloitte, where she was an Investment Fund Analyst. Prior to Deloitte, she interned at ING Belgium and UBS. Alina is highly engaged in the startup ecosystem, serving as Community Coordinator at Vai, a platform that connects founders with investors as well as helping with various startup competitions. Alina will work across fund operations, marketing and communications, and portfolio support.

Here's Alina, in her own words, on joining Promus Ventures:

Tell us about your background

I studied Business Economics at Solvay Business School in Brussels and started my career with an internship at ING Belgium, followed by an internship at UBS, before joining Deloitte Luxembourg as an Investment Fund Analyst. Outside of finance, I’ve been actively involved in Luxembourg’s startup community, coordinating community at Vai and working on Luxembourg’s CYEL startup competition. At CYEL, I’m part of the startup coordination team, working directly with founders.

What excites you about venture capital?

What excites me most about venture capital is being close to founders and watching an idea grow into something meaningful, while finding different ways to contribute along the way, whether that’s opening doors, making connections, or offering support where it’s needed. Working with founders at CYEL gave me a real taste of that, and I love the energy, ambition, and spirit of the startup ecosystem.

Why are you excited to join Promus Ventures?

Promus’s focus on DeepTech and Physical AI puts it right at the frontier of where I think some of the most exciting things in technology are happening. I’m looking forward to being part of a team that partners closely with founders and helps them build and grow, while bringing my own network and experience from Luxembourg’s startup ecosystem to the role.

What do you do in your free time?

I stay active with tennis, running, padel, yoga, Hyrox, and cycling. One of my big personal goals for the coming years is to complete an Ironman 70.3, so I’m slowly building towards that. I also love spending time in the mountains and camping. That’s where I disconnect, recharge, and find a lot of my inspiration.
